1. Sarah is very excited as her birthday is coming. She told me that she wanted barbie doll fairytopia. I said OK, just one right? She said yes. And I was happy as I've been trying to work on not buying too many gifts for her as she doesn't pick up her toy that makes me think that she has more than she needed so she doesn't appriciate them.
One afternoon we passed on the toy alley just to look around, what kind fairytopia she wanted. There were Sunburst, Elena and all of other fairies. She looked and clearly wanted Elena. And then she saw a scooby-doo stuffed animal then...Barbie walkie-talkie. She said she wanted those three and kept on talking about it. I said: "it's not gonna happen cuz I don't have money."
She said in such calming voice: "I know you no have....but I know daddy has."
2. After the incident of almost hitting some body with my car, I felt so bad for the rest of the day. When I picked her up from school that afternoon I told her: "Sarah, I didn't have good experience today. I almost hit some body."
She said: "how did it happen mommy?"
I told her that the arrow to the left was green but this lady didn't check and kept on crossing the road and that I was so afraid.
She respond seriously while saying: "don't be afraid mommy, now listen to me: if people on the right, you should go to the left OK?"
